Here, we sit down with Mariam Seddiq to discuss the gowns and wedding suits she’s bringing to One Fine Day Bridal Market.
What was the inspiration behind your 2020 collection that you will be showing at One Fine Day Bridal Market?
“Inspiration is first and foremost always drawn from architecture and form. We love our shapes and structures here at Mariam Seddiq. I wanted to bring this signature style to the Bridal world. My take on minimalist forms to create the modern day bride.”
Who is the collection aimed at and what is distinguishable about this particular bride?
“The Mariam Seddiq bride is brave, bold, courageous, edgy with a hint of romance.”
What are the key pieces from your 2020 collection that are ‘must haves’ for every buyer?
“Definitely one of our signature corset gowns or pieces and our bold suiting.”
How do you choose the perfect boutiques to carry your pieces and what is important to your brand in developing new partnerships with buyers/boutiques?
“The perfect boutiques to carry our pieces would need to be inline with the Mariam Seddiq aesthetic and absolutely adore our pieces. We love building new relationships with other like minded modern bridal enthusiasts. We feel as though it is a new movement that we are super pumped to be part of!”
Tell us a quirk about your business, what makes you unique/something you are proud of?
“We are super proud that we have the privilege of creating in our little Atelier in Sydney. All our pieces are created with love in house. Our little hidden quirk is one Friday a month we finish up early and paint with gin in hand. Art, Music and Film is what keeps the juices flowing at MS Atelier!”

“Modern, Architectural & Edgy.”
What is the best piece of small business advice you’ve received?
“Keep on top of book keeping!”
What can we expect in the coming months from the Mariam Seddiq brand? Any exciting projects or collaborations?
“We are currently working on our Resort 21 Mercedes Benz Fashion Week collection. Super excited for this collection to be brought to life and be worn by our clients!!! Stay tuned for some magical moments.”
